In the role of Human Resources Manager you will demonstrate skills and experiences needed to effectively and successfully:
Ø Provide consultation and strategic and operational HR guidance to Devereux Glenholme School leadership and managers; and facilitate organization and leadership development efforts to address root causes of human resources issues.
Ø Align Human Resource activities with the Center’s mission, core values and strategies in support of the Center goals.
Ø Actively participate in the delivery / implementation of Center Human Resources functions including, compensation, employee relations, policy implementation, development and implementation of Center HR procedures, staff training and development, performance management, retention initiatives, and statistical reporting in accordance with governmental, regulatory and organizational standards and practices.
Ø Supervise and direct activities of Center HR staff, in areas of benefits administration, workers’ compensation, recruitment, and adherence to federal and state employment laws.
Ø Participate in the development of the financial budget and implementation of financial strategies relative to managing the costs of labor that coincide with organizational and Center goals.
Ø Guide Center leadership and operations staff in the efficient usage of available labor resources, including the assessment of Center needs, and recommendation of changes in or the establishment of positions to ensure ability to deliver high quality services to employees and customers.
Ø Coach employees at all levels within the Center on a variety of topics including management skills, professionalism, conflict management, and communications.
The selected Human Resources Manager will consistently:
Ø Demonstrate and promote excellent customer relations, and be adept at relationship building.
Ø Demonstrate strong leadership; clear and concise communication skills; problem-solving and analytic skills; and have experience influencing others at senior levels within an organization.
Ø Demonstrate an ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, within managerial/leadership and non-managerial employee groups.
