Position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager in the administration of a broad range of professional and technical human resources functions for Spokane Transit, with an emphasis on employee benefits and salary administration. Work requires knowledge of HR practices and procedures, employment law, confidentiality, application of independent judgment in determining proper actions within limits of program guidelines, administrative policy and negotiated labor contracts.
Work includes the administration and management of the organization’s group benefits and wellness and health management programs; family and medical leave and Washington State leave policies. Act as a liaison with benefit brokers and carriers and other STA departments, federal and state agencies, and community organizations on matters of HR program administration. Assist in salary analysis and salary administration.

| Requirements |
Training and Experience: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in HR Mgmt, Business or Public Admin., the Social Sciences or a related field. Five years of professional work experience in the human resource field; a minimum of three years’ experience in benefit administration. A professional certification in human resource management or similar professional recognition or training preferred. A combination of directly related experience, education and training may be substituted for a degree.
Computer Skills: High level of proficiency within the Microsoft environment and HRIS systems. |
