to the Employee Relations Director, you will be responsible for providing
objective employee relations consultation services, helping to promote
productive and positive relationships between managers, employees, and
co-workers. You will be responsible for following policies and procedures in a
consistent and equitable manner to ensure employees are treated fairly and
actions are taken in compliance with company policies and government
regulations. Duties will include:
- Assists in resolving employee relations issues and
facilitating conflict resolution between employees and supervisors.
- Provides pro-active coaching to supervisors.
- Promptly investigates employee complaints regarding harassment,
discrimination, unfair treatment, etc.
- Conducts effective, thorough and objective conversations,
meetings, interviews, and investigations. Utilizes
independent judgment and best practices in conducting investigations and
recommending resolutions for ER Director's approval; writes investigation
summaries and reports.
- Works with management on employee performance issues,
supports corrective action, coaches supervisors, and when necessary,
prepares documentation for HR and legal review.
- Provides general guidance to supervisors regarding labor
and employment law compliance, wage/hour laws, sexual harassment, and
discrimination prevention, etc.
- Manages ADA accommodation requests.
- Manages verification of employment and unemployment
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to
day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring
- Works closely with management and employees to improve
working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and
- Responds to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of
internal and external sources.
- Conducts and documents exit interviews.
- Partners with outside counsel and agencies when needed.
- Monitors and maintains complaint tracking system.
- Conducts trainings as needed for supervisors and employees.

degree in business, human resources, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of
employee relations experience
- Current working knowledge
of employment law and regulations including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA,
EEO, unemployment, and labor relations.

judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and make decisions in an
equitable and consistent manner.
- Ability to
manage and resolve numerous issues on a variety of topics daily.
- Must be
comfortable speaking in front of large groups and working with all levels
of an organization.
- Must be
organized and detail oriented.
- Must be
comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must have
excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have a
