Essential Functions
Employment and Recruiting
· Creates an advertising strategy to identify the most qualified candidates for employment.
· Recruits and hires new employees to meet the Firm’s staffing plans and headcount management.
· Coordinates the recruiting, and employment process and works closely with hiring managers throughout the process.
· Sources, phone screens, interviews, checks references and makes final offer to candidates for employment.
· Oversees the tracking of all applicants, resume acknowledgement and dissemination of resumes to appropriate hiring managers.
· Oversees the Firm’s Employee Referral Reward Program and career fair participation.
Staff Development and Training
· Oversees compliance training for Sexual Harassment Prevention and Safety Training.
· Develops in-house training programs for personal and leadership development of the Firm’s employees.
· Reviews all job descriptions ensuring they are up-to-date for the essential functions of each of the Firm’s positions.
· Ensures all employees conduct themselves in an ethical manner, maintaining high performance standards.
Benefits and HRIS Management
· Maintains database of employee records (Ceridian, Deltek) as well as physical employment files.
· Provides assistance in administering employee benefit programs and open enrollment activities.
· Responds to all employee benefit and policy questions and sends communications to staff regarding benefit program announcements, changes, etc.
· Processes, verifies, and maintains documentation relating to human resource activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations and compensation adjustments.
Employee Relations
· Coach managers and employees regarding employment issues.
· Works with managers to develop employee Performance Improvement Plans and works with the manager and employee throughout the PIP process.
· Assist employees with personal issue and/or concerns and utilizes the services of the EAP where appropriate.
· Responds to employee questions about organization, benefits, policies, procedures and conducts research to provide prompt response.
Community Outreach
· Participates in community outreach programs related to recruiting and retaining employees.
· Participates in human resource associations and activities.
Other:
· Maintains an updated Employee Handbook. Drafts policies or procedures when appropriate.
· Guides employees in the interpretation and implementation of established benefits programs, policies and procedures.
· Develops and administers an orientation program to introduce new employees to the organization. Reviews policies, practices, and procedures for employee’s assimilation.
· Coordinates Firm events such as annual outing, annual holiday party and annual United Way Campaign.
· Assume special projects and duties as assigned or requested.
