The Multnomah County Library is seeking applicants for a full-time, limited duration Senior HR Analyst position. This position is scheduled to end approximately August 2009.

The Senior HR Analyst will provide advanced technical support and serve as subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of many human resources functional areas.  The position will provide senior level Human Resources generalist support and consulting services to the assigned customers in the Library.

HR consulting services include the complex analysis of business and operating needs, recruitment and selection, coaching and counseling, leave administration, performance management, discipline, EEO investigations, and workforce planning. 

Work is performed independently, governed by general objectives and policy guidelines.  Work situations are varied. 

Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible, specialized, professional experience as a HR generalist. Recruitment/selection, employee/labor relations, and HR policy and procedures development experience in a union environment is highly desirable.

Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, human resources, administration, business administration or a related field; a Master’s degree in a related field is desirable.
