SALARY: $38, 598 - $48, 248 (Depending upon qualifications)
The purpose of this job is to plan, organize and implement government wide human resources programs. Incumbent will be assigned to the Employment and Payroll Division. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, researching, analyzing, and administering testing materials and training programs; advertising job opportunities; recruiting qualified job candidates; distributing applications and screening them using a computerized tracking system; interviewing prospective employees; conducting employee exit interviews, and performing additional tasks as assigned. | Requirements |
Qualified candidates should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
· Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management;
· Knowledge of all applicable laws, ordinances, policies, standards, and regulations pertaining to the position of Human Resources Generalist;
· Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply regulations, procedures and related information;
· Ability to communicate and interact well with management, employees, staff members, applicants, members of the public, and all other groups involved in the activities of the Unified Government and Human Resources Management; and an
· Ability to read, understand, and interpret human resources reports and documentation, testing materials, employment laws, and other related materials.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business/Public Administration, Risk Management or related discipline with two years of human resources, personnel administration, risk assessment, insurance, accounting, financial management or related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
