Maintenance Worker – Full Time w/benefits
buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe, well
maintained conditions, identifying hazards, defects, and the need for
adjustment or repair.
minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or
repair of fixtures (e.g., light bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, minor
appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of leaks in drains and
faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing or
repairing drain hoses and similar devices.)
minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g., preparing surfaces and using
brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging
doors, fitting locks and door hardware, etc.)
with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC system, changing
filters, checking belts, and bearings.
a variety of horticultural task (e.g. mowing, mulching, weed whacking, tree
with moving, loading, unloading and storing supplies, furniture, platforms, and
a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, drills, sanders,
planers, drill press and various hand tools.
up and delivers supplies and equipment and maintains required documents.
and removes refuse and recyclables from County property or County Right-of-Way.
Education and Experience
School diploma or equivalent.
years prior experience working in construction and/or building maintenance preferred.
drivers license in state of residency.
ability to read, interpret drawings, or oral instruction on a variety of
structures related to a construction project.
proper protective equipment (PPE) while performing job duties (i.e., safety
glasses/goggles, hard hat, etc.)
use, handling and care of small tools and equipment used for horticulture,
building maintenance and road and right of way maintenance, etc.
to work in adverse weather conditions.
to lift heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
to follow verbal and written instructions, including federal, state and local
laws rules and regulations.
be able to work in a team environment.
