Information Technology Project Specialist
SALARY RANGE: $52,000 - $62,000
and evaluates the development, design, and implementation of technology
projects within the guidelines of local, state and federal laws, County
ordinances, County policies, departmental regulations and technical
manuals. Works with directors,
supervisors, elected officials, vendors, consultants, outside agencies and
other IT professionals to implement and utilize computer resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Performs project management,
implementation, testing, upgrade, support and training for application systems
· Manages, develops and
implements troubleshooting, problem solving, testing techniques, and data
conversion processes within the context of application support. Manages, analyzes and maintains application
· Performs business analysis and
documents business requirements based on customer business needs and recommends
appropriate hardware and/or software solutions.
· Designs, develops and maintains
customer project documentation.
· Provides input for Request for
Proposals, Quotes, and performs subsequent assessment of vendor scopes of work
· Analyzes and recommends IT
budget needs and orders for designated departments.
· Implementation of
vendor-supplied business application software in an end-user department.
· Thorough and accurate
documentation of project management steps and results.
· Implementation and support for Public
Safety technology software.
· Support for Website software.
Requirements (Education, Training, Certifications/Licenses):
· Education: Associates Degree in Information Systems,
Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is required, Bachelor’s
· Experience: Four - Five years’ experience in an information
systems project management position. Three - Five years’ experience in Public Safety
· Licensing/Certifications: Possession of a valid driver’s license
with good driving history. Project Management
Professional is preferred but not required.
