| Description |
This position is responsible for assisting plan participants with defined benefit and defined contribution (401k) plans. Also assists active and retired participants with benefit calculations, enrollment, payment of pension benefits, and retiree medical coverage. Provides support and analysis in all areas of pension administration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide benefit counseling to retirees and surviving spouses telephonically and in person.
- Prepare pension calculations for various retirement plans.
- Peer audit pension calculations.
- Input pension payments, demographic data and other information into various databases.
- Assist with defined contribution plan administration, including wire transfers, data files and audit of contributions and loans.
- Coordinate payment to vendors for services provided.
- Prepare and send routine correspondence.
- Interface with third party administrators, auditors, and consultants.
- Coordinate pension payments and retiree medical and life insurance enrollment with appropriate vendors.
